Jane Churchill Writer/Director
In a career that spans more than 30 years, Jane Churchill has created a wide range of award-winning programs and series for children of all ages. As a freelance director with the National Film Board of Canada since 1986 she has contributed to several films, including the two-part video A Crack in the Pavement (2000) and the four-part Government in Canada series. She also designed and directed one of the NFB's first interactive CD-ROM productions, Has Anybody Seen My Umbrella? A lifelong art lover, she lives with her partner in Picton, Ontario, where they operate a bed and breakfast.

Tamara Lynch Producer
Tamara Lynch specializes in projects for
children and youth at the Quebec Centre of NFB Montreal. She has produced
over 60 titles including many educational programs and a number of animated
films in the Talespinners Collection (2002). Recent productions include
Apples and Oranges (2003) an anti-homophobia film for 9- to 12-year
olds; Hands-On (2003) a Web project that shows kids how to create
animated characters; FUN STUFF (2004), which allows children to storyboard
and animate on-line; and XS STRESS: Teen Take Control (2004), a youth-centred
film about the perils of adolescence.
Nancy Retallack-Lambert Series Art Consultant
A Montrealer, Nancy Retallack-Lambert graduated from the École-des-beaux-arts in 1964 and later, from Concordia University where she studied art education. Most of her working life has been spent in a variety of capacities trying to find ways to ensure the presence of art as a vibrant aspect of the elementary public school system. She is currently a professor in the Faculté des sciences de l'éducation of the Université de Montréal.
Elaine Shatenstein Researcher
A researcher, writer and teacher by profession, Elaine Shatenstein has a varied background in media production, including live-action drama, educational productions, radio and television. Drawing on her interest in the arts and her production experience, Elaine was expertly able to undertake the research required for this series. Her previous involvement at the NFB was as a series researcher for the four-part Government in Canada Series. Elaine also worked as the Production Manager on four of the I Can Make Art films.
