Participants will have the opportunity to create their own animation under the guidance of local animator Scott Kiborn (Animate Everything). The workshop will feature pixillation and paper cut-out animation techniques, and participants are welcome to bring costumes and story ideas, as well as a flash drive to save their work. Films will be posted on YouTube.

This animation program features Rose & Violet, about a very unusual set of twins, and Nightmare at School, about the upsetting experience of being in a new school.

Shoot, Cut, Show – Youth Animation Challenge
Think it, build it, film it and screen it... all in one day.
Up for the challenge? Create a one-minute animated film in this very special one-day Animation Challenge Workshop. To get the creative juices flowing, participants will visit the exhibition Any Sharp Knife Will Do. The workshop is open to teens aged 12 to 17 and is offered in collaboration with the National Film Board of Canada’s Get Animated! series.
